Our hotels are franchisee-owned and operated under the wings of Accor and Marriott International. We are now looking for a Chief Engineer for our 2 Schiphol hotels - the Moxy Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and the Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel.

Chief Engineer

Is Hospitality and Maintenance the ideal combination for you? As Chief Engineer you manage all engineering and maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. You will manage the budget, but most of all preventive maintenance, as the whole building will be brand new! You will be responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements as well.

We are looking for a team leader for our two Schiphol based hotels. Our Moxy has 200 rooms, a fitness and a great lobby/bar. Our Renaissance hotel has 250 hotel rooms, 4 meeting rooms, the fitness, a bar and a restaurant. It will be your responsibility to act as liaison between hotels and outside contractors or technical services on all projects. You will also lead our Technical Department on preventive maintenance and longer term projects.

Your day will consist of

• the physical integrity of all facilities and fully participate in all safety and security programs.

• maintaining the building and plant properly and efficiently by following the local legislation.

• regular inspections of the property with the General Manager in order to identify problem areas and plan for their improvement.

• ensuring a good planning of all work is kept and deadlines are met for the team.

• assisting in all day-to-day general maintenance work within the hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas

• acting as liaison between hotel and outside contractors or technical services on all projects.

• ensuring that all fire equipment is in good order and the alarm system is tested regularly in line with Brand Standards and local authority requirements.

• ensuring all electrical equipment is safe working order in line with current regulations.

• focussing on daily maintenance of all areas as well as preventive maintenance to ensure guests enjoy the utmost comfort during their stay.

• communicating closely with all departments on technical issues and tasks.
