The Commercial Director at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel will be pivotal in steering the property towards a new era of excellence and innovation.

With the commencement of a €100m+ phased renovation embracing the charm of Amsterdam's rich cultural history and modern sustainability, the Renaissance is set to enhance its position as a leading hotel in the city. The Commercial Director role will drive this transformation with a sharp focus on repositioning the newly refurbished hotel. Their role will include driving performance across the Sales, Marketing, Revenue, and Group & Events teams for over 500 rooms and projected €60m+ turnover. 

The ultimate objective is to ensure the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel becomes number one in its market, and to distinguish it as a top choice for high-end, culturally connected hospitality and conscientious travellers in Amsterdam. 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years in a leadership role within a luxury lifestyle hotel brand or hospitality company, preferably overseeing Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, E-Commerce, Communications and PR, and partnerships;

  • strong commercial acumen, including managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting;

  • proven track record in achieving commercial targets and driving profitable business results;

  • in-depth knowledge of the Amsterdam hotel and tourism market and experience in sales or marketing targeting domestic and international agents and corporations.
