IHCP is the company leading the Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel, Moxy Amsterdam Airport, Mercure Amersfoort Centre and the Moxy/Residence Inn The Hague! A great portfolio of 5 hotels. Our hotels are franchisee-owned and operated under the wings of Accor and Marriott International. We are a growing Hotel Management company that is now looking to expand their cluster team by hiring a Director of Finance!

As our company is growing, we would like to insource our finance department. This means that our Director of Finance has the opportunity to built his or her own team from scratch! Our finance department has a cooperating, supporting and controlling role. Together with your finance team you implement new policies, guide our hotel operation teams (GM’s and HOD’s) by giving training and feedback and last but not least you make sure that all of our finances are up to date and correct. At this moment we have an Income Auditor and an outsourced Finance Manager but are looking to expand and insource our finance team with an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and a Paymaster to assist our payrolling. Our vision is to grow in number of hotels, whilst remaining to focus on our main priority: delivering quality. As a Director of Finance you are part of the overarching Cluster Team which supports the hotels in different expertise’s such as Sales, Revenu, HR, IT and Engineering. We work from our hotels – no fancy head quarter desk included in this role, which makes that we remain close to our hotel teams and can support where needed.

In general, what we expect from you is:

  • Using financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues, and support by giving training.

  • Support the creation the annual operating budget for all hotels and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities for department heads.

  • Ensure controls and accounting standards are in place as per the requirements of the Dutch law.

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, planning and coordinating with the financial team.

  • Working alongside General Managers and Director of Hotels for specific financial related questions.

  • Taking the lead in P&L meetings identifying challenges and discrepancies and give feedback on how to improve or resolve.

  • Participate in the hotel forecasting process supporting the forecast of payroll and expenses as well as reviewing and challenging the revenue forecast as appropriate.

  • Set up SOP’s for operational teams on making the flow of information clear and correct.

  • Assists external and Statutory Auditors (i.e. TVL, NOW audits).

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

  • Prepare and follow up on goalsetting within finance department.

  • Overseeing the finance department and act as HOD of finance in Cluster meetings.

  • Any other reasonable ad hoc requests.

  • Demonstrate your ability to assess and understand a variety of internal and external financial issues which impact the business, to analyse data and forecast future business trends, and to develop effective financial plans based on businesses assessments.

  • Demonstrate your knowledge of finance, budgeting and accounting processes and regulations.
