BRILLIANT FINANCE MANAGER DELIGHTED TO MAKE OUR GUESTS MIND TRAVEL.
In this role you will be responsible for managing, supervising and directing the financial administration of the hotel. The key priorities are to maintain an up-to-date and accurate overview of the financial status of the company. Provide financial support for the strategic management decisions to the General Manager and owning company. The Finance Manager is part of the hotel management team and supports and advises on financial and strategic issues.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Preparing and drawing up periodic reports, annual figures and profit and loss (P&L) reports and balance sheet;
Analysis and monitoring of the financial results;
Preparing the various management reports and holding periodic meetings;
Prepare forecasts and budget;
Cash management and forecasting;
Management and optimization of the administrative organization and internal control;
Creating risk management and awareness within the organization;
Management of the insurance portfolio;
Project accounting (capex);
Making periodic tax returns and statements to, among others, CBS and Chamber of Commerce;
Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued
Management and control of general ledger accounts and the timely resolution of inaccuracies;
Conducting consultations with owners, management, accountants etc.;
Acting as a point of contact and proactively advising management & ownership;
Keeping up with developments in the financial, Dutch tax and regulatory fields;
Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals;
Train and developing the finance team.
Passionate about finance
4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related
Experience as a Financial expert in the Hospitality industry
Working experience with Sage accounting platform is an advantage but not necessary
Previous user of Word, Excel, Essential and Outlook preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of spelling and grammar, layout and content formation essential
Highly organized, positive attitude and efficient approach required
Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure best business results
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
