Front Office Associate - The Hague Marriott

The Hague Marriott is the largest hotel in The Hague and is ideally located in the middle of the international zone, next to the convention centre World Forum, prime-minister’s residence "Catshuis" and "Gemeentemuseum", between city centre and beach. With 306 comfortable rooms and suites, including a Presidential Suite and 24- Meeting rooms, this conference hotel offers the perfect solution for any stay. The hotels F&B department consists of a lounge bar, a breakfast restaurant, banqueting rooms and an executive lounge for our VIP guests.


As a Front Office Associate, you are responsible for the process of all check-ins, check-outs and process all payments of all guests to deliver an excellent brilliant guest experience. A Front Office Associate would also be required to answer all questions of guests, communicates and coordinates with all departments in the hotel and strives to achieve departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to Marriott standards

• Up-sell with latest departmental incentives

• Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key

• Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit

• Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges

• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns

• Coordinate with all departments in the hotel concerning guest requests

• Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest

• Run daily reports, identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy

• Follow cash handling procedures and complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager

• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets

• Strive to achieve departmental targets

• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation; comply with local licensing laws

• Assist other departments wherever necessary

You are:

• Passionate about hospitality and Front Office

• Flexible to work a varied schedule that my include evenings, nights and weekends

• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high levels of customer service

• Fluent communication skills in English and Dutch

• Experienced in working with Opera & Marsha

• Experience in a global Hotel chain and customer faced role is an advantage

• Highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment: stays calm and professional

• Strong interpersonal skills: ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful and flexible
