THE POSITION

As a Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for a Front Office shift. This includes leading the team, in addition to receiving all guests at the desk and providing guests with efficient, courteous and professional service. You know exactly how to provide luxurious service and create a true experience for all guests on a daily basis. You're very guest-oriented and act proactively at all times. You're the main point of contact for all guest requests and challenges and responsible for following them up. Moreover, you communicate in a professional and assertively way with guests and your colleagues. 


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading the Front Office team, training, inspiring and motivating colleagues

  • Welcoming guests upon their arrival and handling the administrative formalities related to their entire stay

  • Informing the guest about the hotel facilities and speaking to them during their stay

  • Closing the cash register and checking outstanding accounts

  • Taking care of our guests' feedback and ensures that they leave the hotel satisfied

  • Assisting with improvement plans for the department

  • Assisting the Rooms Division Manager

  • Co-determining staffing levels, recruiting and hiring new employees

  • Providing valet parking and luggage service

  • Conducting rounds for prevention to identify risks

  • Adhering to and monitoring Marriott standards

  • With a positive attitude and taking pride in your job


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • At least a completed MBO degree

  • + 3 years of work experience at a hotel front desk

  • You master both the Dutch and English language (spoken and written)

  • Knowledge of Opera PMS and Marriot Systems (such as Marsha and GuestVoice) is a big plus
