As a Management & Human Resources Assistant you are the right hand of the management and the HR Manager of the Claus Company. The portfolio Element by Westin Amsterdam and Papa's Beach House (Hoofddorp) will be expanded in the autumn with Papa's Loft House (location Element Amsterdam).


  • You are the right hand of the director and assist him with various projects. You will also be involved in supporting activities such as agenda management.

  • Together with the HR Manager you take care of the personnel policy and the personnel administration.

  • You are responsible for the (re)writing and placing of vacancies and the monitoring of the recruitment process;

  • Share your thoughts: you like to think along (with the operational management team) about the improvement of the functioning of the department or HR work processes in the organisation;

  • In consultation with the HR Manager, you set up and carry out HR-related projects;

  • You are the office manager for the head office in Amsterdam and you ensure that business relations are received hospitably;

  • You are the 'wikipedia' of the company.


You are not a typical 'management assistant', but someone with a passion for hospitality, perhaps a recent graduate, who wants to work in a fun and challenging back office position. You work independently, know your priorities well and are used to anticipating ad hoc situations. You are representative, quick-witted and preferably a bit rebellious. You like to dot the 'i's' and cross the 't's';


  • Completed HBO or higher vocational education;

  • Affinity with the hospitality industry;

  • A golden smile;

  • You are available fulltime;

  • Excellent communication skills in writing as well as in Dutch and English;

  • Accurate, representative, sense of responsibility and flexible working attitude.

  • Knowledge of labour law and HR legislation is an advantage.
