As a sales intern you will be working for the Sales department of the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Center. Are you spontaneous, flexible and totally sales-minded? What will you be doing?

As an intern at the sales department of the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel you will support the Sales team with commercial and administrative tasks.

Commercial tasks

• Weekly check of newly created account profiles for new business opportunities and take action on them

• Preparing appointments for the sales staff; making reports, updating the account plan and wrapping presents

• Preparing, making price proposals and completing RFPs (Request For Proposal) using various systems

• Preparing and backing up hotel tours

• Coordinating Global Sales Blitz weeks

• Proactively think along and assist with small sales projects, e.g. ad hoc blitzes, strategy planning, market research, developing new ideas, etc.

• Analysing Travelclick reports on a monthly basis and working out the opportunities and following them up

• Setting up and/or preparing (mini) client events

• New business development - finding and approaching new potential clients

• Making appointments for sales trips/sales calls for the sales team

• Supporting the sales team during sales calls and/or network events

• Administrative work

• Corporate account report keeping and making periodic production reports for different customers

• Create contracts and process signed contracts in Opera

• Keeping lead/prospect list up to date

• Replacing the Sales Coordinator in case of absence
