As a sous chef you are passionate, a true leader, hard worker and creative. In our hotel you are responsible for multiple F&B outlets and a multi-cultural team. You are working on an à la carte restaurant Great Room, finger food for the Executive Lounge, comfort food for the guests who order Room Service and huge dinners and buffets for the large groups in the Banqueting. As a Sous Chef you report to the Executive Chef within a brigade of about 10 people from all over the world. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

SOUS CHEF

As a Sous Chef you have the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Setting and complying with SOPs

• Compliance with HACCP regulations and keeping checklists

• Incorporating Marriott standards in the menus

• Creating and calculating the menus

• Checking the food cost and payroll

• Motivating and training the team

• You maintain good communication with the Executive Chef and F&B Manager

• Placing orders and checking the incoming products using packing slips

• A hands on approach is required

• Making rosters and vacation schedules of the team

• Strive to achieve departmental targets

• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

You are:

• Passionate about hospitality and experienced in the (hotel) kitchen as a leader

• You have completed a related course and several years of work experience

• Flexible to work a varied schedule that my include mornings, evenings, and weekends

• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high levels of customer service

• You have the necessary creative ideas, and you can easily translate them on the plates of our guests

• You preferably speak Dutch and English

• Experience in a global Hotel chain is an advantage
