What will you do? (Responsibilities)

As the Front Office Manager at the Rotterdam Marriott Hotel, you are the driving force behind our Front of House teams. These include the Front Office, Guest Relations, Millennium Tower, and Guest Services/Security. You lead a dynamic team of 30 colleagues, ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive to the moment they depart. You coordinate activities based on business levels and provide clear instructions to maintain service quality, adherence to the various Marriott Brand Standards, and efficiency.


You play an active role in optimizing departmental operations, tackling challenges such as staffing and various guest requests. You have a strong affinity for loyalty programs, and together with your team, you design and implement creative promotional initiatives that enhance guest satisfaction, revenue, and profitability.


You are responsible for developing and executing HR policies, and you enjoy helping your team grow and motivating them by setting an example. With your strong communication skills, you maintain close contact with other departments, ensuring smooth collaboration and guaranteeing that your team is always professional and well-presented.

What we like to see in you: (Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s level of thinking and working, preferably with a degree in hospitality.

  • Experience in a leadership role within the Front Office or a comparable department/position.

  • Excellent knowledge of hotel procedures and systems such as Opera or another PMS.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Service-oriented with a proactive and flexible attitude.

  • Organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.

  • Team player with a motivating leadership style.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
