HR Coordinator (Temporary)

What will you do? (Responsibilities)
One of our colleagues in the Human Resources department at the Rotterdam Marriott Hotel will soon be going on maternity leave, and therefore we are looking for a temporary replacement. This is a full-time position from early March until the end of June 2025, with the possibility to continue part-time afterwards.
Together with your HR colleagues, you are the point of contact for all employees, ensuring they experience the same 5-star service as our guests. You play an important role in the administrative process of employee onboarding and offboarding. This includes tasks such as preparing contracts, extensions, and letters, as well as ensuring timely updates in the system. You are also responsible for maintaining reports and ensuring they comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Additionally, you manage absence records and ensure their correct processing. If you're interested, we can expand your role to include recruitment and selection, where you would be involved in drafting job postings, selecting candidates, and participating in interviews. You may also assist in organizing training sessions, setting up employee activities such as annual events, anniversaries, and celebrations, as well as working on various HR projects. In short, there is ample opportunity to further develop your expertise and contribute ideas for improvements within the HR department, depending on your interests and affinity with specific HR topics.
What we like to see in you: (Requirements)
You are available full-time (38 hours per week).
You have completed a relevant vocational or higher education in HRM and/or hotel management.
You have a strong command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written. It is a must that you speak Dutch; English-only speakers are not suitable for our department.
You are independent, well-presented, highly organized, and stress-resistant.
