Food & Beverage Management Trainee - Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel

Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Center

In this internship you will work 20% of your time in the office and 80% of the time in F&B operations – in one of the F&B Outlets of the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel. You function as the face of F&B and provide an optimal service to our guests, together with our (your!) team contribute to a high-quality product and carry out various project related to F&B management.


Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Carrying out the Standard Operational Procedures of the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel

  • Ensure LRA (Marriott) standards are all in place

  • Attend weekly sheet meetings to gain more insight for the coming week; meetings, reservations, special events etc.

  • Research and implement hospitality related trends and ideas

  • Attend/Organize brainstorms together with department leadership teams about improving daily processes such as; methods, table settings, buffets etc.

  • Attend internal- and external (cross) departmental meetings

  • Attend training sessions if desired

  • Organize product trainings together with department leadership teams

  • Maximize revenue through QCD board and upsell

  • Assisting in various F&B management related projects; for example: guestvoice, GSS actions, internal and external events, menu engineering online reputation management etc.

  • Carrying out any other work that can reasonably be expected of you within our hotel

 

Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of hotel procedures related to hygiene, health, fire and safety

  • Basic knowledge about food and beverage products
