The reception is the place where the guest can check in, check out and get all kinds of information. There is a lot of guest contact and the reception is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Guest Relations is also an important part of the Front Office. You ensure that guests have an unforgettable stay by providing small surprises for regular guests, performing secretarial support and resolving guest complaints. At Marriott International we go the extra mile to turn a normal stay into an unforgettable experience! Some hotels have a Duty Manager too, who is the point of contact for the guests. From recommending running routes, outings and restaurants in the area to resolving complaints and facilitating customised solutions. This way, the guest does not have to worry about anything except what drink to order and where to eat.
