As a hotel manager you are responsible for the overall management of the hotel organization. You must adhere to the guidelines and objectives of Element Amsterdam Hotel. The purpose of the position is to ensure that this branch functions as optimally as possible on all fronts and thus ensure that the set budgets are achieved.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF…
It's a fulltime job where you manage the daily affairs and report to the management. You lead and motivate the Front Office, Housekeeping, Corporate Sales, Reservations, Technical Department and F&B (breakfast) and are responsible for optimizing the occupancy rate, the average room price and other hotel revenues. In addition, the strategies for revenue and inventory management must be proactively created and implemented and the budgets & business plan must be determined and managed.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and inspire the various hotel teams, manage the day-to-day operations
Create a friendly and fun environment for the teams to perform at their best
Optimizing the occupancy, the average daily rate and other hotel revenue in cooperation with Revenue Management
Ensuring the highest service levels in the Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B
Creating unique guest experiences and building customer loyalty
Analyzing and reporting based on the various Marriott systems
Proactively create and execute revenue and inventory management strategies
Manage and control pricing and availability on all booking channels
Proactively make and perform competitor analyses
Participate in, develop and execute Sales and Marketing Strategies
Determine and manage budget & business plan for the year
Maintaining contacts with owners, external relations and key stakeholders
Ensure all complaints are dealt with appropriately
Complying with all Marriott standards, audits and procedures
Ensuring all standards are set at highest possible level in respect of hygiene, security and health & safety
WHO ARE YOU?
Driven people manager with a broad business vision and insight, preferably S&M / Revenue background
Preferably previously worked for an extended stay hotel as a Operational- or Hotelmanager
Entrepreneurial and naturally driven to achieve maximum results in guest satisfaction without losing sight of the commercial objective
Enjoys maintaining contacts with owners, external relations and key stakeholders
Experience with hotel software such as Opera (PMS)
Well acquainted with the Amsterdam Hospitality market
